Hello! My name is Aaron Porter and I am Lighting Designer now based in London. Over the last 10 years, I lived and worked in New York, working on and off Broadway, regionally throughout the US and internationally. Through my designs, I focus on story and believe lighting is an element that enhances the work that connects and delights the audience. Outside of theatre, I design for cruise ships, theme parks, galas, and other special events. In all my projects, I collaborate to use resources effectively and strive to build community while crafting each story. I work as an associate with some of the industry's leading designers. In 2013, I was named the USITT/Live Design Rising Star of the year.

Every production strives to transport an audience to a different time, place, and emotional state. I believe lighting is a tool that elevates environments to heighten an audience’s emotions and enables them to escape into the story that is being told.
